On October 5, 2013, the Global Bhutanese Literary Organization (GBLO) conducted a Svikarokti workshop with the teaching staff of Triratna Secondary School in Damak, Jhapa, Nepal. The event was warmly supported by Principal M. B. Bista, Vice Principals Ritu Tamang and Prakash Tamang, along with the participation of both teaching and non-teaching staff.
The workshop was facilitated by Denzome Sampang, promulgator and founder of Svikarokti, accompanied by his mentor team: Patalo Antare, Chatra Dangal, Badal Thapa, and Susan Majhi. Together, they introduced the philosophy of Svikarokti as a path of acceptance, peace, and positive transformation, while encouraging teachers to consider its application in education and community life.
Participants responded with enthusiasm and appreciation. Many teachers shared that the workshop gave them new perspectives on dealing with classroom challenges, particularly in building patience and understanding toward students. Others reflected that the philosophy could strengthen cooperation among staff members and create a more harmonious school environment.
The session concluded with words of gratitude from the school leadership and a renewed commitment from the faculty to integrate Svikarokti values into their daily teaching practices. The program stood as another meaningful milestone in spreading acceptance-based education within Bhutanese schools.
