Dharan, Sunsari | November 28, 2023 – A special program titled “Svikarokti Vimarsha Karyakram, Samman Tatha Rachana Vachan Samaroh” was successfully held in Dharan, Sunsari, Nepal, organized by the Sahitya Kala Sanskriti Pratisthan, Dharan–13, in collaboration with Bhayavad Adhyayan Kendra, Dharan. The event celebrated the philosophy of Svikarokti and highlighted its growing influence among literary and social circles.
The program was graced by Chief Guest Harka Sampang, Mayor of Dharan Municipality, who praised the impact of Svikarokti on global peace efforts. In his address, Mayor Sampang remarked, “Svikarokti Philosophy is spreading peace and positivity across the globe. We need this kind of movement.”
The highlight of the program was the felicitation of Denzome Sampang, the promulgator of Svikarokti philosophy and founder of the Svikarokti Foundation. He was jointly honored by the organizing and supporting institutions—Bhayavad Adhyayan Kendra, Sahitya Kala Sanskriti Pratisthan, and Dharan Municipality.
Alongside him, all the members of the Global Svikarokti Tour were also felicitated. The honored members included: Karna Gurung, Patalo Antare, Aavash Rekham, Shekhar Koirala, Netra Acharya, Arjun Upreti, Shila Upreti, Mousam Majhi, Aaryan Sitoula, and Bibek Shrestha. Their contribution to spreading Svikarokti’s message of acceptance and harmony worldwide was warmly acknowledged.
The event also featured poetry recitations and literary readings, adding creative vibrancy to the discourse. Senior poet Bhim Bihari Rai, writer Chandra Gurung, and several other local literary figures presented their creations, leaving the audience inspired.
Behind the scenes, Prof. Dr. Tanka Prashad Neupane played a crucial role in making the event possible, serving as the main contact person who coordinated efforts to bring the program to fruition. The gathering was further enriched by the participation of local literary personalities, social workers, and community leaders, reflecting the collective spirit of Dharan’s cultural and intellectual community.
The program marked a significant step in recognizing and promoting Svikarokti Philosophy in Nepal. With its emphasis on peace, acceptance, and positivity, Svikarokti continues to inspire both academic and grassroots circles. The felicitation of Denzome Sampang and his global team symbolized not only respect but also the hope that this philosophy will continue to grow as a unifying force worldwide.
