As part of the Svikarokti Global Tour 2023, a special cycling event was organized on November 24 in Kathmandu with the theme “Bicycling to Preserve the Environment.” The event began at the Nepal Academy, where cyclists gathered early in the morning to take part in an inspiring ride around the city.
Escorted by Kathmandu Metropolitan Police, the cyclists made a full circle of Kathmandu, spreading a message of environmental awareness and sustainable living. The sight of dozens of riders moving together sent a strong reminder of the importance of protecting our surroundings through everyday choices like cycling.
After the ride, participants returned to the Nepal Academy, where they were welcomed with a hearty breakfast and lunch. The event was not only about physical activity but also about building a community spirit around the values of health, unity, and environmental care.
The cycling program became one of the highlights of the Svikarokti Global Tour, reminding everyone that small steps—like choosing a bicycle over a vehicle—can create a big impact on the future of our planet.
